Upload or import a source

Use an MP4, MOV, MKV, M4V or WebM containing sound. Wait for the duration check before starting. Imports from YouTube, Vimeo, VideoPress and other supported sites depend on availability and your plan; private or restricted videos may need an authorized local upload. Only use content you have permission to process.

Resume an interrupted upload

Choose the same file in the same project to reuse verified uploaded parts. Keep that browser’s local storage intact. A changed file has a different checksum and cannot continue the earlier upload. If the upload expired, start it again. Wait for the source registration to finish before generating moments.

Find moments and understand charges

Review the generation quote before starting. New source ranges use source minutes. Re-finding previously processed ranges uses your free re-find allowance, then the displayed discounted charge. Failed or cancelled processing releases its reservation. Editing and rendering do not consume source minutes; dubbing has a separate allowance.

Check the story and fix a cut

Preview a suggestion in its source context. Check that the first line identifies the subject and that the answer reaches its payoff. Use Fix cut to compare a proposed repair before saving it. Fewer complete suggestions are preferable to stretching an unfinished story. Scores estimate editorial suitability, not future views.

Correct names and uncertain captions

Open Correct captions in the editor. Replace an exact word throughout the clip or remember a spelling in your workspace glossary. Apply the glossary explicitly to each clip. Timestamps are preserved and Undo restores the earlier edit. Lower-confidence words are review hints; verify names and claims against the audio.

Check framing and screen content

Watch speaker changes and screen shares in the current edit. Choose a wider ratio or manual framing when slides or multiple speakers need room. Keep captions inside the safe area. File integrity checks cannot determine whether a face, slide or story was framed meaningfully.

Preview and final export versions

The current edit, saved preview and saved export may have different versions. Save and render a preview to check the composed file, then export the current edit. An older preview can remain visible while a newer one renders. If export checks fail, inspect the reported check and retry; include the support ID if it keeps failing.

Missing or distorted audio

Play the original first. Confirm that it contains a supported audio track, that your player is unmuted and that a dub or music track is not overpowering speech. Review normalization and music volume in the editor. Re-upload a corrected source if the original itself lacks usable sound.

Download captions and move to a desktop editor

Use the editor’s handoff menu for SRT, VTT or the desktop-editor ZIP. Keep access to the original source media. Relink the source in your desktop editor and verify the timeline, dimensions, fractional frame rate and captions. Compositions and font availability can differ between applications; inspect the imported result before delivery.

Retention, deletion and keeping work

Settings controls inactive-project retention. Opening a project deliberately or editing it extends activity; background refreshes do not. Expiring projects receive an in-app warning with a seven-day grace period. Open the project before its deadline to keep it, and download important originals and exports. Explicitly deleting a project follows the separate trash/permanent-deletion flow. Deleting originals after processing can restrict future edits.

Billing, minute packs and cancellation

Billing shows usage, minute balances and invoices. Workspace owners choose a plan through Dodo Payments' secure checkout, and eligible paid workspaces can buy one-time minute packs. Purchased packs expire after 12 months; annual subscriptions still receive monthly included allowances. Owners use Billing → Manage or cancel subscription to open the secure billing portal. Choose Cancel subscription → Cancel at next billing date to stop the next renewal while keeping the current paid period. Download available invoices from Billing. See Terms and Refund Policy for conditions, or contact [email protected] for help.

Guest review and approvals

Export the current edit, then open Guest review and create a private link. Anyone with it can view and respond, so share it carefully. The link expires and can be revoked. Editing the clip invalidates review access for that version; an old approval never approves the new edit. Guest approval does not authenticate a client or authorize publishing. Previously issued video access may last up to 60 seconds after revocation.

Publishing or notification provider unavailable

A provider appears ready only after its configuration and account connection succeed; approval and account restrictions can still prevent delivery. Download the MP4 as a fallback. Email and browser push respect notification preferences. Browser permission, an expired session, disconnected devices or provider delays can affect delivery. Keep the in-app inbox as the record of your notifications.

Report a problem safely

Include the support ID, approximate time, project or clip ID, browser and reproduction steps. Describe whether the problem occurred during upload, processing, review or export. Do not send passwords, verification links, API keys or private customer footage without a suitable secure channel. Check Service updates for announced incidents.
