What counts as a processing minute?
A 20-minute source consumes 20 source minutes when generation succeeds. Editing captions or rerendering a saved clip uses no source minutes. Finding moments again reuses paid source ranges; your workspace's free re-find allowance and any later discounted charge are shown before you start. New source ranges use their full processing minutes. Dubbing has a separate plan allowance.
Do I need to pay before trying it?
No. Your free workspace includes 60 source minutes every month and watermarked 720p exports. See your first moments before choosing a paid plan.
Do my projects expire?
No short expiry on any plan, including Free. Projects stay available while you're using them and are removed only after 90 days of inactivity by default. Owners can change that retention period in Settings.
What happens when my allowance runs out?
New processing pauses until your minutes reset. On paid plans you can buy extra minute packs that expire 12 months after crediting, or upgrade. Using purchased minutes requires an eligible paid plan. Your projects, clips and exports stay available, and Billing shows exactly how many minutes you've used.
What happens when I upgrade?
Choose a higher plan in Studio → Billing → Plans to review the prorated price before payment. Upgrades keep your current billing interval and renewal date. The higher monthly minute limit replaces the old limit; minutes already used and reserved remain counted, so allowances do not stack. Purchased minute packs retain their own balance and expiry. The new plan starts after payment is verified.
Who handles payments and refunds?
Dodo Payments is our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record: it processes your payment, applies taxes, issues receipts and processes approved refunds. Contact [email protected] for product or billing help, and read our Refund Policy before purchasing.
How do cancellation and invoices work?
Workspace owners open Studio → Billing → Manage or cancel subscription. In the secure billing portal, choose Cancel subscription, then Cancel at next billing date to stop the next renewal and keep access through the current paid period. You can also update payment details and download invoices there. Cancellation does not automatically refund a previous charge. Contact [email protected] if you need help.
