Your workspace is private. Editors can explicitly share an expiring review link to one exported clip version.
Privacy policy
Your stories are your own.
This policy explains what information MomentMaker collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.
MomentMaker is operated by Milan Adhikari, trading as MomentMaker, based in Nepal. For support or privacy requests, email [email protected]. General enquiries: [email protected]. The short version
We don't sell your personal information or use your content to advertise to you.
We analyze your content only to provide the features you use.
Export your data, set how long projects are kept, or delete your account anytime.
01Information we collect
We collect information you give us, information created when you use MomentMaker, and a small amount of technical information needed to keep the service secure.
- Account details, such as your name, email address, password (stored only in a protected, non-reversible form), passkeys and sign-in method.
- Your content, including videos you upload or import, transcripts, suggested moments, captions, edits, brand kits, logos and exported clips.
- Workspace information, such as workspace names, members, roles and invitations.
- Billing information, such as your plan, subscription status, invoices and usage. We retain records needed to manage access and support. Payment details are entered with the provider identified at checkout; MomentMaker does not collect full card details or security codes.
- Connected accounts, if you link a social platform to publish clips: the account name, profile picture and the permissions needed to post on your behalf.
- Usage and device information, such as sign-in times, browser type, and actions like creating a project or exporting a clip, which we use for security and support.
02How we use your information
- To provide MomentMaker: transcribing and analyzing your videos, suggesting moments, rendering clips and publishing them where you ask us to.
- To run your account and workspace, including sign-in, team access and your plan's limits.
- To process payments, send receipts and manage subscriptions.
- To send service emails, such as sign-in links, password resets, invitations and important account notices.
- To keep MomentMaker safe, prevent abuse and fraud, and fix problems.
- To understand how features are used so we can improve them, using aggregated information rather than the contents of your videos.
We don't use the contents of your videos, transcripts or clips to build advertising profiles, and we don't sell them.
03Payment information
Dodo Payments is the authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for MomentMaker purchases. Payment details are collected directly by Dodo Payments and its payment processors; MomentMaker never receives or stores your full card details. MomentMaker receives transaction references, subscription status and billing records needed to provide access and support.
We share your account email, display name and selected purchase with Dodo Payments. It also receives the billing details and device information you supply during checkout for payment, tax and fraud checks. We do not send your videos or transcripts for payment processing.
Dodo Payments processes purchase information under its Privacy Policy. Final purchase details, including taxes, are shown at checkout before you pay. Test checkout does not collect real payments.
For questions about existing billing records or payment information, contact [email protected].
04Why we may process information
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as preventing fraud, protecting the service and resolving support issues. Where consent is required, we ask for it; you may withdraw it for future processing without affecting processing already lawfully performed.
05Automated analysis of your content
MomentMaker uses automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to transcribe speech, identify speakers and propose moments worth sharing. This analysis runs only to provide features to you and your workspace.
Some requested features send relevant media, transcripts or prompts to hosting and AI service providers for processing. We use your content to deliver the requested features, not to build advertising profiles. We do not train our own general-purpose AI models on your private uploads. Contact us for information about the providers used for a specific feature.
Suggestions are a starting point. You always review, edit and decide what gets exported or published.
08How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
- Project retention follows workspace settings. The default retention period is 90 days; deleting original media after processing is optional. Review Settings before relying on continued storage.
- Deleted projects stay recoverable for a short period, then are permanently removed.
- When you delete your account, we remove your content and personal information, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, security or accounting reasons.
- Copies awaiting cleanup or held in backups may persist for a limited period. Access is restricted while deletion runs. Records required for legal, tax, security or accounting obligations may be retained for those purposes.
09How we protect information
Your content is stored privately and access is limited to authorised workspace members and service operations needed to process or support it. An editor may explicitly create an expiring guest review link for one exported clip version; anyone holding that link can view and respond until it expires, is revoked or the edit changes. Previously issued media access may remain valid for up to 60 seconds. Guest approval does not verify identity or grant publishing rights. Connections are encrypted, access is checked on every request, and you can review and sign out active sessions from Settings. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you.
10Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can do most of this yourself:
- Update your name, email and sign-in methods in Settings.
- Export your workspace data from Settings.
- Delete projects, or delete your account entirely.
- Disconnect social accounts at any time.
For anything else, contact us and we'll respond within the time required by law. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11International transfers
MomentMaker and our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Applicable transfer requirements depend on where you live and the provider involved. Where legally required, transfers must use an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards. Contact us for details about a particular transfer.
12Children
MomentMaker isn't intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MomentMaker evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
